Literal Truth
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Tim. 2:15).

Why Literal?
"Literal interpretation means the words and sentences of Scripture are understood in their normal meaning—the ways that words are understood in normal communication. It is a literal or normal meaning of words that is the basis of communication. Biblically there is a precedence for interpreting the New Testament literally. Old Testament prophecies like Psalm 22, Isaiah 7:14; 53:1–12; Micah 5:2 have all been fulfilled literally." Paul Enns in The Moody Handbook of Theology
Why Truth?
Because God's Word is truth. Jesus himself said in prayer to the Father, "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth" (John 17:17).
